Supplies
- Felt sheets in different colors, we used 2 different kinds of felt sheets for this project, stiff felt sheets and felt that have an adhesive backing. But you can easily use glue instead.
- Scissors
- 2-inch paper clips, we used colorful paper clips but you can use any type you have
- Printable template
Instructions
1. Print out your bookmark templates onto regular white printer paper and cut them out.
2. Trace the templates onto the felt pieces and cut them out. Kids can choose and design how they want their bookmarks to look.
The star shape is an easy one for kids to cut on their own. Younger kids may need some help cutting the other shapes.
3. Glue or stick the felt pieces together. If you are using glue, you may need to let everything dry before attaching the paper clip to the back.
4. Attaching the paper clip is super easy. Place the paper clip on the back of the bookmark and position it how you like. Cut out a strip of felt and glue it down overtop of the paper clip to secure it.
I just love the bright colors of these felt paper clip bookmarks! They were super easy to make and look adorable in a book or notebook. They also make great gifts for kids to make on their own to give to family and friends.
